SDSU Engineering Compact
San Diego Unified students wishing to pursue an engineering degree through San Diego State University’s College of Engineering have the opportunity to apply for the preferred admissions program. This admission assistance program between SDSU and California Project Lead The Way Affiliate is designed to provide a valuable mechanism for increasing the number and percentage of high school graduates interested in studying Engineering at SDSU with foundational Engineering skills learned from the PLTW curriculum. Students who have participated in this PLTW program have shown that they are better prepared, have higher retention rates, and reduced time to graduation. The number of students registering in the preferred admissions program continues to grow each year and Admissions into SDSU also continues to get more competitive.
