Has your student’s genius been unlocked?

Have you heard? All 6th-12th graders are participating in the Unlocking the Genius program to learn about their personal strengths, interests and values as well as explore career aspirations. Upon completing the assessment on Thrively, each student received a personal uplifting profile about their strengths.

By using Thrively for Unlocking the Genius, teachers and parents learn about the whole child to provide a deeper insight to the student beyond the typical academic profile. It provides an additional dimension of the student to provide personalized learning opportunities.

Parents can connect with their student’s account to learn about their strengths, areas of interest and career aspirations, as well view their digital portfolio and journal entries. To find out how to connect to your student’s account click here.
If your student and/or their school hasn’t started Unlocking the Genius yet, it’s not too late! Talk to their school to find out when they will be participating. It’s easy to begin and students just need a computer with internet access and earphones. You can learn more about how to get started here.

Not sure what to do this summer? Thrively has curated hundreds of hours of content that can help your student learn more about their personal areas of interest and career aspirations. “PATHWAYS” provides opportunities to explore student identified careers of interest and recommend other careers based on their strengths and interests. “ACTIVITIES” suggest opportunities based on the student’s interest and that are in San Diego. “SPARKS” offers daily headlines and brain boosters to ignite curiosity and complement learning. These components of Thrively are a great way to have your student explore far beyond the classroom walls for free!
