Unconscious Bias & Culturally Responsive Teaching Cohort 2

Youth Advocacy is excited to present the second cohort of "Unconscious Bias & Culturally Responsive Teaching Practices." This is a 2-part cohort training series. Attendance of both sessions will culminate in FREE online access to Dr. Wood's culturally responsive modules worth 1.5 CEUs.

Part 1, presented by Dr. Luke Wood of SDSU, will balance a discussion of issues facing Black students, focusing on unconscious bias and microagressions as well as offer research-based strategies for improving their success.

Part 2, presented by Ebonee Weathers of Youth Advocacy, will provide a framework for developing your ability to recognize students' cultural displays of learning and meaning-making and respond positively and constructively with teaching moves that use cultural knowledge as a scaffold.
