“What if we could be more powerful by rearranging components of our system that are already there?” On October 3, 2018, Audobon (K-8) hosted a professional learning session on Integrated Multi-Tiered System of Support. I-MTSS acts as a way of organizing supports within a school so that the academic side, behavioral side, and the social-emotional-learning side are aligned to serve the whole child. This session presented an overview of the framework and how to support ALL students through this lens. Teachers, counselors, psychologists, site leaders and other support staff from Audobon, Fulton, and Pacific View attended the session. The framework is based on the California SUMS (Scaling Up MTSS) initiative that began in March, 2016. Participants were provided opportunities to learn about strengthening their own practices around data collection, analysis, and designing supports so that each and every child gets what they need in order to be successful.
