Students Speak Up

English teachers from across the district took time out of their professional development this week to learn from the real experts, students! How do you learn best? What do you wish teachers understood better? What makes for an effective teacher? Our panel of Mission Bay students pulled no punches! They explained that their favorite teachers are the ones who really take the time to get to know them. One senior emphasized the importance of having teachers show examples of what they are looking for so that they can do their best work. But they also want teachers to give them responsibility to figure things out on their own, even better if they have a small group of students to help out. The teachers were inspired by such honest, helpful feedback. Thanks Buccaneers!
