Carson Elementary STEAM Magnet just hosted its first annual Carson Has Heart Maker Market and Open House. Students from every grade level and classroom created products to sell at the school’s maker market using design thinking as the basis for their creations. Each class set up a booth on the playground showcasing their process and carrying a message of empathy in the designs they presented. From lawn signs with positive messages to up cycled planters made from discarded water bottles, the designers demonstrated how Carson has heart.
In addition to student projects, the community, parents and partners also shared the work they have been doing to make Carson Elementary an incredible STEAM hub in Linda Vista!
