San Diego Sports Association April Stars of the Month

Each month, the San Diego Sports Association honors as many as four professional, six amateur, and six prep athletes as Stars of the Month for their outstanding athletic accomplishments.

For the month of April, we have 2 San Diego Unified School District student athletes being honored:

KENAN CHRISTON, Track, Madison Christon finished the month with the finest single-day sprinting performance in section history. The senior won the Escondido Invitational 100-meter dash in 10.41—the second fastest time ever—and then roared to a 20.67-second 200, bettering his own week-old record of 20.90. 

ALYSSA VILKE, Scripps Ranch, Softball The Falcons senior outfielder was a terror at the plate, batting .537 with 36 hits, 34 runs scored and 38 RBI. That included eight doubles, six triples and eight home runs, resulting in a 1.194 slugging percentage, .612 on base percentage and 1,806 OPS.
