We had over 100 guests in attendance for LGBTQIA+ Education & Advocacy’s screening of “Raising Zoey,” a wonderful documentary about the coming-of-age story of a trans teen named Zoey. Attendees had the opportunity to peruse the resources of our many community partners in attendance, including Radys Children’s Hopital’s Gender Affirming Care Program, SDUSD’s Family Engagement Department, San Diego Pride, GLSEN San Diego, PFLAG, Gender Phluid Collective, Trans Family Support Services, and The LGBT Community Center. Student from Morse High School’s culinary program provided cultural dishes and director, Dante Alencastre held a Q & A directly after the screening. It was amazing to see so many youth and families there!
